This is an original press photo. Cairo, U.A.R.: Business goes on as usual in this United Arab Republic capital June 9th, but the banners that just recently decorated the city's main streets are gone. The banners were removed June 8th during a blackout. President Gamal Abdel Nasser resigned June 9th as President of the U.A.R. and assumed full responsibility for the setback that this Arab nation received on the battlefield at the hands of the Israeli forces.Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches.
