Japanese Vintage Porcelain Sake Cup This is a vintage Kutani Ware Japanese porcelain sake cup. This type of cup is called tsubomi, or "bud type," due to its resemblance to a flower bud. In terms of size, it is also called an ochoko. This unique cup features a shunga scene, erotic art made famous by woodblock print (ukiyo-e) artists. It is hand-painted with a variety of colors, including shining gold. The outside of the cup is red with gold designs.
