This item is a 34" right-handed antique hickory shafted putter from the 1930's. Smooth face scoring. Marked Spalding Kro-Flite Robert T. Jones, Jr signature Calamity Jane. The first of Bobby Jones' famous Calamity Jane putter. The head is good clean condition. They did not have good chrome back then and the head has some of the expected salt and pepper marks on it-not too bad. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is the original hickory with three rows of whipping on it just like Jones had on his. It is straight, I see no cracks, and it is tight at the hosel. All hickory shafted clubs should be re-set prior to play. The grip is the old original leather wrap with acetate grip collar and it is in good vintage condition. The shaft has been cleaned and oiled and the grip has been waxed. Will display very nicely. Great collectible.   

If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.

For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
