  1. Designed by Ettore Sottsass and affectionately known as the 'Red Bucket,' this model features a striking bright red ABS plastic body and a dedicated matching case. It is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Condition

  1. Key components (keys, shift, space bar) are all operational.

  2. The carriage advances correctly when using the space bar.

  3. The ribbon reverse switch, platen (paper feed), and manual ribbon rewind all work smoothly.

  4. The carriage moves freely and smoothly in both directions (via lever and manual operation).

  5. Mechanical note: If two keys are pressed simultaneously, the type bars will clash and stick, but they can easily be returned to their original position by hand.

  6. The current ribbon is dry, but faint imprints are still visible. I have not tested the machine with a fresh ribbon.

  7. Case: One of the rubber stoppers has a small tear, but it does not affect storage or security at this time.
