The helmet opens to reveal the lighter. There is a screw in the back to remove the upper half and fill the lower half with lighter fluid. I did not test it, so I am not sure if it works.

The back of the helmet is loose and does not stay closed; possibly missing a spring.

There is some discoloration from usage, but overall it is still very shiny.

Base appears to be a hard plastic, possibly lucite.
