Arcades, the Strategist is a classic toughness matters and is still one of the premier choices from the archetype. Arcades gets around the defender mechanic by making your defenders able to attack and also assign combat damage based on their toughness rather than power. This allows you to run a high density of low cost high toughness creatures that attack with great effectiveness. The deck comes packed with defenders, some of the best removal in white and blue, as well as some ramp and recursion to keep your game plan moving forward. With this deck, you may be surprised at just how much damage a wall can do!
