This is a Japanese antique saw.

It was used from the Edo period through the Taisho period to cut large trees vertically.

Because it is a large saw, it is called “Oga” (大鋸) in Japan.

It is in very good condition and well-balanced.

The handle is wrapped in bamboo, which is deteriorated.

The saw blade is neatly trimmed.

The blade is slightly curved, so it requires sharpening.

Despite being an old vintage piece, it is surprisingly clean and is a highly collectible item.

It bears the maker's mark and is a rare, hard-to-find piece.

While showing signs of use, its overall condition is extremely good.

It remains functional in its current state.

Strongly recommended for collectors.
