Vintage MKI Kamenstein "World of Motion" Steam Engine Locomotive Tea Kettle - Engine No. 613
Iconic red novelty train-shaped stovetop teapot from the 1980s/1990s. Designed so steam pressure spins the rear wheels (fun choo-choo motion) when the spout whistle/stopper plug is inserted and seals properly.
This one is sold strictly for parts / as-is / display only — it does NOT function. The black plastic whistle stopper/plug (the part that goes in the spout to build pressure) is broken/missing its proper seal (see close-up photos of the piece you have + spout). Without a good seal, steam escapes and the wheels do not spin. Body/enamel is in good shape—no major cracks, chips, rust, or damage visible on the kettle itself. Glossy red finish nice, silver accents/wheels/handle intact, minor age-related wear/scuffs (check all photos). Clean inside.
Ideal for:
- Railroad/train collectors as display decor
- Parts donor (wheels, rods, handle, bell, cab details, etc.)
- Attempted repair if you can source/fab a replacement stopper (rare—many collectors search unsuccessfully)
