Ottawa National Forest Sylvania sign.

Up for sale today is this Ottawa National Forest Campground sign for the Sylvania Wilderness, as posted in Michigan. Made to the exact US Forest Service standards as used starting in the 1960s or so. This particular National Forest is in the upper peninsula of Michigan, close to the border with Wisconsin. The Sylvania Wilderness is a protected area that covers 18,327 acres of some of the most extensive northern hardwood forests in North America, and is home to countless varieties of wildlife. Please note that I can make this sign for any of our National Forests, from Allegheny to Willamette, or anything else you'd like for the sign to say.

An original of these is not only very rare to find scrapped, but is a herculean effort to transport; they are about six or eight feet wide. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble... or a hernia. This sign has been rescaled to a much more convenient 15 by 10 inches, and weighs about 3 pounds, 2 ounces. If you would like a different size sign, please inquire.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close
!

Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any city name of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and route shield signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
