This is an attractive Edwardian Sterling Silver Button. The button is circular with a pierced design of a flying cherub amidst flowers and foliage.

The button was made in London and dates to 1903. The makers' mark is partly missing due to the pierced design and only the letter C remains, so we cannot say who made it.

Condition is very good, with no dings, dents or damage and just the superficial surface wear that you would anticipate after over 120 years of good service. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The button is 2.2cm in diameter and weighs in 2.9g of solid Sterling Silver.

The hallmarks, on the front of the button, are well struck and clear to read with the exception of the partially missing makers' mark. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the date letter h for 1903 and only the letter C of the makers' mark.
