This is an Antique sterling silver sombrero from Mexico.

A very light hearted souvenir / gift. With such a beautiful patina I could not bring myself to polish it, that would be up to you. On the crown of the sombrero is the eagle on the cactus with a serpent in its beak and the word Mexico below. Designed leaves, flowers and textures are hammered into the sterling silver. An art form called repousse. Nice substantial feeling due to the weight of the sterling silver, almost 4 ounces. Very good condition with minor signs of age.
