This unit rotates smoothly. When resistance is applied to one side, the opposite side will slip under load, indicating functional torque-limiting / overload protection behavior. Designed to transmit rotation while protecting motors or driven components from sudden binding.

Solid metal body with black shaft collar ends. Vintage industrial construction.
