1963 Press Photo Marines & Navy reservists give blood for Lt. Earl Favre.

The men donated the blood this morning at U.S. Public Health Service on behalf of Lt. Favre, who was injured in an accident last June. "Wasn't scared a bit!" the rugged Marine sergeant boasted as he consoled a fellow blood donor at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital. The sergeant and two other Marines came out this morning to offer moral support to three Navy reservists as they gave blood to replace some used earlier this summer by their friend, Lt.Earl Favre, lakefront supervisor of the Orleans Levee Board Police.Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
