I’m pleased to present this very rare and unique 30 day or 1 month duration clock made by Karl Christoph Martinis (1807 Klagenfurt-1900 Klagenfurt)
This clock is so called early biedermeier clock or true first Vienna clock.
The clock was made in Klagenfurt/Austria in 1830 and has been signed by the clockmaker
CARL MARTINIS IN KLAGENFURTH typical signature of this clockmaker.
The clock is finished also with typical mahogany veneered case with maple stringing, milk glass dial, fire gilded engine turned bezel, blued steel hands, Graham escapement, string suspended steel pendulum.
Please note the pendulum rod is made of steel not wood
This is another trademark of this fine clockmaker same as milky glass dial.
The box case frame has curved finish not like in typical dachl clocks so it looks like this clock is an early biedermeier.
Very accurate on time you won’t believe how precise this clock is
Absolutely stunning condition ,the movement has been cleaned and serviced as it should and now is working as it should ,you barely can hear its tick tock this is a perfect example of a hand made clock by Austrian clokmasters.
Brand new gut/weight line plus brand new suspension spring .
Dont miss the opportunity to get this very rare fine museum piece of horological history .
The here is small hairline crack on glassy milky dial unfortunately
