This is not simply a retired model.
This is the only Traditional-scale release from a mold that no longer exists.
After production of the 2008 BreyerFest Celebration Horse, Breyer permanently destroyed the steel injection mold (#719), cutting it into more than 20 pieces. It was the first time in Breyer history that a mold was intentionally broken following production.
No reissues.
No additional runs.
No future castings.
Alborozo exists only in these original 6,000 models.
This example includes the early-production window box featuring the well-known name misprint:
“Alboronzo”
A documented production-era printing error that adds a fascinating historical detail to this already significant release.
Combined with:
The destroyed mold
The Celebration Horse designation
The Brigitte Eberl sculpt
The 2008 BreyerFest belly stamp
This is a complete and historically important example.
