This is a real deal OEM GM Rochester mechanical fuel injection system for Small Block Chevy engines. Rochester mechanical fuel injection systems were optional on late 50's Chevrolet fullsize carbs and 1957-1965 Corvettes. The systems used the same fundamental operation from 57-65 and did advance and change through the years. The part number on this system is 7017200 and the serial number is 1068 which are stamped in the tag riveted to the upper plenum/doghouse. The 7017200 injection system was used on the 1959-1961 Corvettes. This is a real deal OEM GM Rochester fuel injection system. Don't Miss It!
This Rochester fuel injection an awesome original setup. It came out of the estate of a long time hot rodder and Rochester Fuel Injection enthusiast. It was still mounted on an engine in a car was totally complete. I was told the engine was recently running in the car with the fuelie system on it. I bought the fuel injection system off of the engine. It did come to me with an original Delco Remy distributor made for Rochester fuel injection. I am not sure if the distributor is original to this system so I decided to sell it in a different listing. This listing is for the Rochester fuel injection system less the distributor as shown. Don't miss this awesome vintage system.
This system is in good unrestored condition as shown. Most of these you will find have been cleaned up or otherwise messed with. I decided to leave this one dirty and grimy as found so the new can choose to use it in the current cosmetic condition or have the reward of cleaning it up/restoring it to the level they desire. I see no breaks or weld repairs to this system other that a possible weld at the driver's front mounting ear of the lower intake as shown. The cooling ports do have some corrosion as shown but nothing that will effect sealing. It looks to be very original save for some replacement bolts and washers. All parts seem to move freely and smoothly including the throttle linkage, air meter butterfly, and high pressure pump. I removed the upper intake from the manifold base to show the casting numbers and components. The lower intake is casting number 3768233. The upper plenum is casting number 7014944. The air meter is stamped 201 and the fuel meter is stamped 202. This system is in good used core condition and will need to be rebuilt or restored before being used. This is an awesome original Rochester fuel injection system.
