-2 RECORD LOT ORIGINAL BANNED COVER AND ALTERNATE COVER

   Moms Apple Pie --was a 10 man band out of Warren, (Cleveland), Ohio. 

   They had a nice horn and keyboard section and sounded somewhat like "Chicago". Their vocalist was very good and the music was not bad at all.

   The band released two albums, Moms Apple Pie in 1972 and Moms Apple Pie II, in 1973. 

   The band had a successful career nationally and toured across the United States. They played with the Doobie Brothers and with David Bowie and appeared at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles and at Madison Square Garden NYC. 

   The band recorded on the Brown Bag label, owned by Terry Knight, (of Terry Knight and The Pack). The band was discovered by Terry Knights' wife Pia, while they were playing a demo back in the studio.

   The music is very good but the album covers make them collectible. The original album cover became banned, so the cover artist designed an alternate cover for the record.

 

What we are selling: a two record lot

1. Moms Apple LP BB-14200 with the original cover. The record has been cleaned with a Spin Clean record cleaner with distilled water and cleaning solution. The record has been test played on our Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable. The vinyl is clean and glossy, plays through loud and clear. The original cover is in VG+ condition, no writing or marks but does have a corner cut-- on the lower left front. See pictures.

2. Moms Apple Pie BB-14200 with the alternate metal/barbwire cover has been cleaned and test played as well. Vinyl is clean and glossy, plays great loud and clear, see picture. The cover is in VG+ condition. See pictures. No writing or marks. Includes the original Brown Bag paper inner sleeve. See pictures.

   We try to follow Goldmine standards when rating our used vinyl records.

After cleaning a test playing both records we rate them both as VG+ vinyl with VG+ covers. They play through loud and clear and both records have the original Brown Bag Records paper inner sleeves. See pictures please.

   We will ship the records to you securely packed in a cardboard record mailer with bubble wrap, using USPS media mail.
