CAP

This is a Royal Navy-issue Service Cap to a Petty Officer.  This dates from the 1970s.


On the interior it has a brown-leather head band and it is fully lined with a grey silk.


On the exterior the crown is fitted with its white, PVC cover and its black, moleskin band.


The peak is a patent one and the chin strap is made from a black vinyl.


Condition: It is in used but excellent condition.


Size: Labelled size 7, which is the equivalent of 56cm.  Manufactured by A. & N. H. & C. Co. ( 1968 ) Ltd.

The badge is a Petty Officer's bullion-wire version and is in used but excellent shape.  It is nicely attached to the black band.

Tips on How to Measure your Head Size

MEASURE: You can use a tape measure or a length of string that you will have to hold up to a tape measure to determine the length. Place the string or tape around you head about 1/8” above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Basically you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.

SIZING TIPS:

1. Small is usually 55cm, medium is usually 57cm, Large is usually 59cm, X-Large is usually 61cm and 2X-Large is usually 63cm. 

2. On any style of hat, we highly recommend getting a centimetre or inch measurement of your head size before placing an order.
