This is a real deal OEM FoMoCo  factory 6,000 RPM tachometer from the 1960's. This tach was optional on 1965 Mercury fullsize cars with a center console. The tach itself was made by Stewart Warner for Ford. There are ink stamped part numbers on the back of the tach. The Stewart Warner part number looks to be 960-M. The Ford part number looks to be C5MF-17B2631. The tach housing has the part number C5MF-17311.  This tachometer would be right at home in a variety of applications.

This tachometer is in good unrestored condition as shown. The dial is bright, chrisp, and easy to read. The lens is clean and clear with no cracks or chips. The chrome front bezel and housing/cup have nice original chrome with great shine and reflection with light aging. The back of the tach and inside of the housing is very nice as shown. The wiring is quire nice with 2 of the three factory connectors intact as shown.  Since this tach was made by Stewart Warner for Ford/Mercury, I am not certain about how to hook it up. I tried testing it and the needle does respond to signal but only goes to right over 1,000 rpm. This tach may require an external sending unit to read correctly or may bee service. This is an awesome original FoMoCo 6 K tach!

This is your chance to own the original 65 Mercury 6,000 RPM tach you have been dreaming about at a GREAT PRICE!  Don't Miss Out!
