What does an alternator do?

An alternator, as an integral part of every combustion engine vehicle, its main responsibility is to convert chemical energy to electrical energy so that you can charge and replenish the battery in your engine and other electrical components in a car.

Tips:

① Frequently clean the scale and dust on the exterior of the generator and keep it clean and well ventilated.

② Frequently check the tightening condition of various fasteners related to the generator and tighten all screws in time.

③The tension of the transmission belt must be appropriate. If it is too loose, it will easily slip and cause insufficient power generation; if it is too

    tight, it will easily damage the belt and generator bearings.

④When installing the battery, be sure not to install it incorrectly. Usually, install the positive wire first and not the ground wire, otherwise the diode

    will easily burn out.

⑤ When using an integrated circuit regulator, the ignition switch should be turned off immediately when the engine is not running.

⑥ It is never allowed to use the "scratching fire" method to test whether to generate electricity.

⑦ When the generator fails to generate electricity due to a fault, it must be eliminated in time, otherwise it will cause more serious faults.
