Oregon has updated this blade’s part number from 198-153 to 98-153. This is the same blade with identical specifications, fitment, and performance. Only the manufacturer part number has changed.
The Oregon® 98-153 high lift blade is an OEM-spec replacement blade designed to increase airflow for improved bagging and side-discharge performance. The high-lift design helps pull grass upright for a cleaner, more consistent cut, making it ideal for demanding mowing conditions.
This blade is designed for 42" cutting decks on select MTD-built lawn tractors and zero-turn mowers that use OEM replacement blades 742-04308 or 942-04308.
