This is for a vintage Whiting and Davis Reverse Intaglio cameo necklace. The glass cameo is set in an ornate gold tone openwork filigree frame. The design is an intaglio (carving into the material) but because it is viewed from the front through the clear glass, it presents as a raised cameo image. Whiting and Davis is a well known American company, famous for metal mesh products and costume jewelry. The chain is 20" and the pendant is about 2 1/4". Very good condition.
