Unframed engraving featuring the city of Troy, titled Troja cum Locis pertingentibus. The map illustrates the battlefield described in Homer's Iliad and depicts the ancient city of Troy, Mount Ida, and the Scamander and Simois rivers.

The map includes detailed annotations in Latin, identifying key locations mentioned in the epic poem, such as the Scaean Gate, the Achaean Wall, and various burial mounds.

The detailed rendering and Latin inscriptions suggest it was created during a period of renewed interest in classical antiquity. The signature "J. Harris fecit" likely refers to John Harris, an English engraver active in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, known for his maps and historical illustrations.

The engraving measures approximately 10 7/8 inches by 13 inches. Significant toning and foxing as visible in photos. Two small tears to right side as shown in photos. Lined vertical and letter watermarks to paper.
