The prestigious Ulysse Nardin created the Marine Chronometer 1846 as a homage to marine chronometers.
Marine chronometers, which require absolute precision, require the highest level of technical skill, and the marine chronometer aboard the battleship Mikasa, the flagship of the Japanese Navy, was also made by Ulysse Nardin.
This latest arrival is a limited edition of 250 pieces, released in 1996 to commemorate the company's 150th anniversary.
The dial is an enamel dial crafted by a skilled enamel craftsman.
