This makes them resistant to burning and smoldering making them a wide-range plug that can be used over a significantly wider temperature range. [Uses a new ceramic insulator]: Excellent insulation even at high temperatures especially the corrugated ridges in the head which enhance insulation and prevent flashover. Excellent thermal conductivity prevents overheating of the plug. Resistant to thermal shock it prevents insulator damage caused by sudden heating or cooling.
