Each cup is thinly potted, with a rounded body rising from a neat foot ring. The porcelain is fine and translucent, a hallmark of Yongzheng production.

The exterior carries a black diaper ground, painted in tight, repeating strokes that create a net of geometric pattern. Between this lattice sit gilt flowers, applied with precision to shimmer against the dark enamel. On opposite sides, scalloped white panels break the ground, each holding a delicate sketch of flowers painted in black, their restraint set against the richness of the gilded surface.

Gilding also picks out the rims and scalloped borders, tying the decoration together with a fine metallic edge. These details mark the handwork and control that define Yongzheng export porcelain.
