There are three distinct types of pliers in this kit, each serving a specific stage of the extension process:
Removal Pliers (Top Left): These have a unique "U" shaped or notched head. They are used to squeeze micro-links or keratin bonds in a specific way that cracks the bond or rounds the bead, allowing the extension to slide off the natural hair without causing damage.
Application Pliers (Bottom Center): These often feature a spring-loaded handle and flat, sometimes grooved, jaws. They are used to firmly clamp micro-beads or rings shut once the extension tip and natural hair are inserted.
Multi-Functional / Serrated Pliers (Bottom Right): These pliers have a wider, textured "teeth" surface. They are excellent for gripping slippery bonds or for "crimping" flat-tip extensions to ensure a secure, long-lasting hold.
Straight Edge Scissors (Bottom Left): Standard hair cutting shears used for trimming the length of the extensions or cutting the thread/bonds during the removal process.
Thinning/Texturizing Shears (Bottom Center-Left): These have a comb-like blade on one side. They are essential for blending the hair extensions with the client's natural hair so there isn't a blunt, visible line where the natural hair ends.
Hair Clips (Top Center): You’ll see several small black "alligator" or "duckbill" clips. These are used to section off the natural hair, keeping the workspace clean and preventing stray hairs from getting caught in the bonds or beads.
Loop Threaders / Pulling Needles (Center, curved wires): These thin, flexible wire loops are used to "thread" the natural hair through micro-beads. You slide a bead onto the wire, pull a small section of hair through the loop, and then pull the wire to transfer the bead onto the hair.
Professional Carrying Case: A zippered, black faux-leather case keeps the tools organized, sterile, and protected. It’s designed for stylists who may need to travel or want to keep their station tidy.
