Original wooden handle (grip) from an Imperial Russian Army Dragoon Shashka, World War I era.

This piece was discovered in the attic of an old, abandoned house. Unlike "dug" items (found in the ground), attic finds often preserve the wood's integrity much better, retaining its historical character.

An excellent piece for a personal collection or a  restoration project.
