Ben Gamel Ground Out to Matt Reynolds/Donovan Solano & Kevin Newman Foul Off Ian Gibaut. Shipped USPS Ground Advantage.

On September 13, 2022, the Pittsburgh Pirates visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park for a doubleheader. In Game 2, Luis Ortiz started for the Pirates, while Fernando Cruz went for the Reds.

In the top of the seventh, Raynel Espinal was on the mound. Bryan Reynolds led off by striking out. Rodolfo Castro smacked a double to TJ Friedl. Ian Gibaut replaced Espinal. Ben Gamel came to bat. GIBAUT HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 95.2-mph!! four-seam fastball for a ball. (Yes, that means Chuckie Robinson also touched this ball!!) Gibaut came back with a 91.9-mph cutter, and GAMEL HIT THIS BALL TO MATT REYNOLDS, WHO THREW IT OVER TO DONOVAN SOLANO TO GET GAMEL FOR THE SECOND OUT!!

Gibaut got this ball back. Kevin Newman walked to the plate. Gibaut started with a 92.1-mph cutter for a called strike. He came back with an 85.5-mph slider, and NEWMAN FOULED OFF THIS BALL!! This ball was then retired. Newman eventually hit a single, scoring Castro. Calvin Mitchell ended the half inning by grounding out to Solano. The Pirates won the game 1-0.

This ball is MLB Authenticated for Gamel’s ground out to Reynolds (who threw this ball over to Solano) and Newman’s foul off Gibaut. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. The ball is shrink wrapped, which is how it came from the Reds. NO RETURNS ALLOWED IF SHRINK WRAP IS REMOVED. Thank you for purchasing!!
