The Ukrainian Witness media project, in collaboration with Ukrainian artist Oleksiy Sai, created a striking installation titled “I'm Fine”, which has become a powerful symbol of the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people. Initiated by Vitaliy Deynega and the Ukrainian Witness team, the project not only documents the reality of war but transforms it into deeply emotional and meaningful art.
The installation is a 32-meter-long, 10-ton metal structure, constructed from war debris gathered from areas impacted by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Every element—twisted road signs, shattered building fragments—carries its own story, making the sculpture a raw and honest testament to resilience and loss.
In 2024, “I'm Fine” made its international debut at the world-renowned Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, USA. Amid the vibrant, avant-garde art installations, the Ukrainian piece stood out for its emotional depth and haunting presence—serving as a solemn reminder that even in the midst of chaos, art can speak the truth and amplify the voices of those still fighting for freedom.
