Fine Molds 1/72 Scale Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Fighter Hot Scramble 1984 Early Specification Plastic Model Kit FP50

Developed as a large air superiority fighter to replace the F-4, the F-15 made its first flight in the United States in 1972 and became the flagship fighter of the U.S. Air Force for half a century, beginning with the Cold War.

The F-15J, domestically knocked down and license-built, was deployed as the main fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in December 1981.

From July 1984, it was primarily tasked with alert duty against airspace intrusions of unknown nationality, and engaged in numerous "hot scrambles" of high urgency amid rising tensions between the East and West and the Cold War.

Fine Molds' new kit, following the F-4EJ and F-2A/B, further pursues the joy of design and assembly, while also recreating the shape and detail of the actual aircraft through thorough research.
