Vintage Very Late 60s (or earlier 60s with an L-Arm from mid 68 or after as a replacement at some point in time) Ludwig #782-1C "Rotary Dial" Rail Consolette Tom Holder. Script Logo. This version with the L Arm instead of a spade was introduced in the 1964 catalog as the NEW "Clipper" Shell Mount Tom Tom Holder. (Not sure why they still called it a Clipper Tom Holder as there was no clip and spade involved.) Minimal surface scratches on the chrome. The only real flaws we could find were gouges into the metal just below the bottom adjustment nut. Appears someone used a crude crescent wrench or some type of a wrench and scared the metal, instead of investing into a Ludwig wrench. The rail itself is not damaged or scared up from use. The mounting screws, washers, lock washers and nuts are all brand new, authentic and period correct. We also replaced the high profile thin walled adjustment nuts with original Ludwig nuts, as the originals that were on it were scared up and had the edges rounded on them, from not using the proper tool to loosen/tighten them. Again all authentic and period correct replacements. All in all a very very nice solid fully functional piece that also looks terrific. Please examine the pictures We tried to get shots from about every possible angle.
