Introducing Tilta Extendable Shoulder Pad Baseplate for Camcorders

This one-of-a-kind baseplate utilizes an articulating and extendable shoulder pad to improve operating comfort of camcorders and other similarly sized cameras.

The Baseplate features a standard quick release plate with two points of contact for a secure connection.

The quick release plate can slide forward up to 100mm for easier camera balancing or a clearer view of the monitor.

The Shoulder Pad can extend 118.5mm in the opposite direction to create even more room for users to fine tune the balance of the camera on their shoulder.

This also allows users to have better access to electronic viewfinders on the back of the camera.

In this extended configuration, the shoulder pad can articulate, which allows operators to brace the baseplate against their chest to achieve more stable lower angle shots.

This helps create a comfortable third point of contact between the operator and the camera system without adding excess additional weight.

The 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 thread on the front of the shoulder pad makes this easy to mount and additional quick release plate in order to connect the entire baseplate to a tripod or support system.

The baseplate provides unobstructed access to the camera battery slot and features 1/4″-20 threads with locating points along the side, perfect for mounting accessories like our Mini PD Battery Plate.
