I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original circa 1943 Bulova BLACKOUT 10K Rolled Gold Plate Art Deco Men's Wrist Watch . The case is the same as a SENATOR but the hands are lumed. This watch was made as a Military Theme Watch hence the name BLACKOUT. The movement does not have a serial number but is stamped 8AE  and with the date code symbol X and the stainless steel snap back is stamped with the number 2700117 .  The X symbol stamped on the movement dates the watch to 1943.   The hands have luminescent type paint but some is absent. The stretch band is in good usable condition and came from the old estate with this band so I am thinking its original.  The new owner will need to glue the crystal on, its loose and will fall off unless its glued back on.  The gold plating on the watch is in great shape, I do not see any brassing. The dial is very nice, its completely original . I did not attempt to clean it.  Obviously this in an old manual wind mechanical watch. It winds easily and sets just as it should.  Some of the luminescent paint on the hands is absent as noted in the condition report. 

I noticed that the seconds hand sometimes catches on the underside of the minute hand , so it needs to be adjusted. I do not feel comfortable screwing around with it and suggest that you have a professional fix this issue. I am selling the watch As Is . The crystal is loose and needs to be glued /cemented back on.

The case measures approx 21.5mm wide

I only time tested it for a day or so , over that period it kept accurate time but I suggest as I do with all old estate watches that the movement be serviced . 

ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics.

SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL.
