The rose-painted bowl came down from the attic of the family's elders in connection with her move from a detached house to a serviced apartment. It has probably been there since the previous generation passed away in the late 70's - (which means that it was probably bought in the 40's-50's or 60's)
The bowl's diameter is 26cm and it is 7cm high.
This specific bowl's design, with its flowing scrolls, detailed line-work, and bright colors on a red background, strongly reflects the traditional Os rosemaling style from the west coast of Norway.
