There is a zipper in the back. The back of the skirt is longer than the front. I saw no defects. Pictures can not do this dress justice.
Measurements: length shoulder to bottom is approx. 60" in the front. The back looks to be about 9" longer. Chest is approx. 31", waist is 24", and hips are 33".
