Offered here is a cloth topsy Turvey doll - the doll has a white lady on one side, turn her upside down and the doll is a black lady.  The overall size is 16" , the dolls are made of old stockings, firmly stuffed and dressed in complimentary colors.  Note:  The white lady has a scuffy face - she may have been dragged on her face or pulled a thread to make the small hole in the arm near her chin, but that is normal wear and tear for any cloth doll.  The black lady wears a dress of mauve with white insert at the neck front and back - her headscarf is made of the mauve fabric and lined with the print of the white lady's dress.  The white lady wears a cap over her painted light brown hair and her white dress is a print with shades of green, rose and gray; both dresses are the same style with puffed sleeves and blousy bodices.  These dolls were popular in the early part of the last century.
