Press the black switch on the back and the knife sharpener will be firmly attached to the table. When you finish the knife and pull the switch up, the sharpener will separate from the table. Since the base is very soft rubber, it will not damage the table.

Sharpen Standard Knife

No. 1 V-shaped carbide groove is used to grind standard knives.

1. Insert blade fully and vertically into appropriate sharpening slot at a 90 degree angle to the sharpener. Gently with light pressure pull the knife blade from heel to tip in direction of indicator arrows.

2. Repeat above action until blade is sharp. Always pull the blade through the sharpening slot from heel to tip, never back and forth.

Sharpen Scissors

Place the sharpener near the edge of the table and press the switch. This way the table won’t hinder you from grinding the scissors.

Make sure the beveled side of blade is fully leaned against the CARBIDE blade. Draw the scissors from hinge to tip in direction of indicator arrows.

Note: As scissors blades are single-beveled, only sharpen the side of each blade that has a bevel.
