Ovex 100 mg Tablets provide fast, reliable treatment for threadworm (pinworm) infections in adults and children aged 2 years and over.
The Family Pack of 4 tablets is ideal for treating the whole household at once, helping prevent reinfection and spread.
Adults and children aged 2 years and over: Take one 100 mg tablet as a single dose.
Tablets can be chewed, crushed, or swallowed with water.
A second dose may be taken after 2 weeks if re-infection occurs.
Note: Wash hands regularly, clean bedding, and maintain hygiene to prevent further infection.
Do not take if you are allergic to Mebendazole or any other ingredients.
Not suitable for children under 2 years.
Consult a doctor before use if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You suffer from liver disease
You are taking other medicines (e.g. cimetidine, metronidazole)
Wash hands and nails thoroughly to prevent reinfection.

Ovex is used to treat infections caused by threadworms (Enterobius vermicularis), which are small white worms that live in the gut and cause:
Itching around the anus, especially at night
Restlessness or disturbed sleep
Irritability and loss of appetite
Everyone in the household should be treated at the same time to prevent re-infection.
The active ingredient, Mebendazole, works by preventing the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), which they need to survive.
This causes the worms to die within a few days, and they are passed naturally in the stool.
Most people do not experience side effects.
Occasionally, users may experience:
Mild stomach pain or cramps
Diarrhoea or flatulence
Rash or allergic reaction (rare)
If you experience severe allergic reactions or unusual symptoms, stop use and seek medical advice.
