1966 Press Photo Mrs. Warren P. Knowles honored at Marquette University

This is an original press photo. Mrs. Warren P. Knowles was named woman of the year Thursday night by Marquette university's chapter of Theta Sigma Phi, professional fraternity for women in journalism. The governor's wife was honored at a dinner at the Milwaukee Inn. The award was in recognition of her efforts to beautify the state and the governor's mansion in Madison, and for her work with Project Head Start. Photo measures 6.75 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 04-21-1966.
