The watch houses the celebrated Railroad Grade Model 1892 “845” movement, a robust 21-jewel calibre regarded as one of Waltham’s finest. Produced in 1908, during the Edwardian era, it exemplifies the peak of American precision watchmaking.


Original Case:


The high-quality triple-hinged Coin Silver (90% fine) case features a crisp coin-milled bezel edge. The front bezel unclips to reveal the lever-set mechanism located near 2 o’clock—correct for railroad-spec watches of this era.


Inside the case back, it is properly stamped A.W.C.Co. (American Waltham Case Company) and “COIN”, verifying correct period manufacture. The dust cover is stamped “3”, denoting a heavy 3oz silver case.


The exterior is decorated with an engine-turned pattern that has matured gracefully over time to a bright, smooth finish. A floral-bordered blank cartouche sits in the centre, ready for inscription should one wish.
