Used with some age and wear

The Snap-On QJR-3250 torque wrench is a 1/2" drive click-type, adjustable, ratcheting wrench with a torque range of 30-250 ft-lbs.

Key Features and Specifications:

🔶️ Drive Size: 1/2 inch.

🔶️nTorque Range: 30-250 ft-lbs (some variations may list 50-250 lbs).

🔶️nType:   Click-type torque wrench.

🔶️nAction:   Ratcheting and reversible.

🔶️ Measurement System:  Standard (SAE).

🔶️ Material:

Made from durable metal/alloy steel with a chrome or silver finish.

👨‍🔧 Important Note:

When using the wrench, pull slowly and steadily on the handle until you hear and feel a clear "click". Stop pulling immediately after the first click to avoid overtightening.

After use, it's a good practice to turn the torque wrench to its lowest setting to release spring tension for proper storage and to maintain accuracy over time.

🔶️ To set the torque on a Snap-On QJR-3250 torque wrench, you will use the markings on the main shaft and the micrometer-style handle.

🔶️ Setting Procedure:

🔶️ Unlock the handle:

Locate the locking mechanism, usually a knob or collar at the bottom of the handle, and twist it counterclockwise to unlock it so the handle can turn freely.

🔶️ Set the main value:

Hold the main body of the wrench steady.

Turn the handle (clockwise to increase the torque, counterclockwise to decrease it) until the top edge of the handle's grip aligns with the desired main torque value (in foot-pounds) on the main scale printed on the wrench shaft.

Set the precise value (using the micrometer dial): The handle also has a smaller, rotating dial with precise incremental markings.

Turn this dial until the exact desired number on the dial lines up with the vertical line (or "set mark") on the main shaft.

🔶️ Confirm the setting:

Add the number on the main shaft (where the handle edge aligns) and the number on the micrometer dial that lines up with the vertical line to confirm the total torque value.

🔶️ Lock the setting:

Once the correct value is set, twist the locking mechanism clockwise until it is tight and secure. The wrench is now ready for use.

🔶️ Example: To set the wrench to 145 ft-lbs:

Turn the handle until its top edge lines up with the "140" mark on the main shaft.

Turn the micrometer dial until the "5" mark on the dial aligns with the vertical line on the shaft. (140 + 5 = 145 ft-lbs).

Lock the handle in place.
