Antique blue and white transferware meat strainer plate made by Davenport Pottery of Longton, Staffordshire England. The oval meat drainer was designed to nestle in the recess of a larger serving piece and has a pierced surface allowing juices to drain.

The dish measures approximately 10.75 inches by 8 inches. It has an impressed and printed mark on reverse. It has extensive crazing to glaze and areas where the glaze has chipped or rubbed along the outer rim. There is also an area along the inner rim of production irregularities original to the piece. Both of these observations are shown in photos.
