Description:

Up for sale is a rare, antique Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. barrel lens, marked "Kodak Anastigmat No. 6 f-6.3" and "Pat. Feb. 24 '03".

This is a high-quality brass and metal lens from the dawn of the 20th century, designed for large format plate or film cameras (likely 5x7 or 8x10). It features a manual aperture ring (f/6.3 to f/45). This is a fantastic find for a large format photographer, collector, or for restoration.

Condition:

• Cosmetics: Good antique condition. The brass and black-painted metal show a beautiful patina, tarnish, and wear consistent with an item that is over 120 years old. Please see all photos for details.

• Glass: The lens glass is in "as-found" antique

condition. It shows visible internal dust, haze, and/or other imperfections from age. I do not see any large cracks or obvious fungus, but it is not perfectly clear.

• Function: This lens is UNTESTED and sold AS-IS for collection or restoration. The aperture ring moves. There is no shutter.

You will receive the exact lens shown in the photos.
