Description:
Lot of 5 MIL-SPEC hermetically sealed axial tantalum capacitors.
Part number: M39003/01-2356
Spec: MIL-PRF-39003/01 (Style CSR13, hermetic axial solid tantalum)
Each part is a sealed metal can with glass-to-metal axial leads. These are true aerospace / defense grade parts, not commercial dipped tantalums.
Electrical specs (per M39003/01-2356):
• Capacitance: 1.0 µF
• Tolerance: ±10%
• Rated Voltage: 50 VDC at +85 °C
• Surge Voltage: 65 V (at +85 °C)
• High-temp Rating: 33 VDC at +125 °C
• Operating Temperature Range: −55 °C to +125 °C
• Dielectric / Type: Solid tantalum, hermetically sealed
• Polarity: Polarized (observe polarity in use)
Mechanical:
• Case style: Axial lead, hermetic metal can (M39003/01 style CSR13)
• Case size: "A" case, approx. 7.26 mm long × 3.43 mm diameter (body)
• Mounting: Through-hole axial
• Leads: Full-length straight axial leads, glass sealed into the can
• Finish: All leads are bright and unsoldered
Condition:
These are New Old Stock (NOS) pulled from controlled military/aerospace surplus. All 50 pieces are clean, never soldered, matching lot markings. This is not harvested / desoldered scrap.
Why these are special:
Hermetic axial tantalum capacitors in the MIL-PRF-39003/01 series are qualified for harsh environments: shock, vibration, thermal cycling, and long-term stability. They’re commonly used in avionics, airborne radio, precision power rails, and high-reliability analog equipment where commercial electrolytics will dry out or crack.
Typical applications:
• Avionics / communications / guidance electronics
• Instrumentation and calibration gear
• Analog power filtering, hold-up, and decoupling
• Restoration of military / aerospace hardware to spec
• Bench spares for depot-level repair
Notes:
• These are polarized tantalum capacitors. Observe polarity when installing.
• Sold as untested surplus. Physical condition is NOS with clean leads.
• You are buying the entire lot: 5 pieces total.
