I have a vintage 149 inches long floral valance that is 8 inches wide.  There is some discoloration on the back due to age, but the front is vibrant in color.  It is a thick silky material. 

I am including a 34 x 34 inch swatch of vintage material with this valance.  The material has a few stains (see Pictures) and the pattern along the edge of the material is faded.  I tried to get good pictures of the stains and fading.  

They could be used for crafts also.
