This zoomorphic-looking African neck support with a softly curved rectangular seat is supported by three oblique feet. Patina is oily and black. This precious relic was designed to protect and show its owner's elaborate headpiece as well as to demonstrate its social standing, but it was also used as a seat. Some were equipped with handles and followed people around as they went.
