Description

This is a vintage Japanese traditional game-style wooden Kokeshi toy by craftsman Fumio Tsuta.
Tsuta is known not only for his Kokeshi dolls but also for his wooden toys, which received high recognition in national competitions.

This Daruma-shaped toy is designed to be played like a dice game — a spinning top (koma) spins on top of the Daruma, and when it stops, it points to one of four numbers (1–4) written in Japanese kanji.
It’s a wonderful example of Japanese craftsmanship and playful ingenuity.
