This dime I guarantee is genuinely missing both Clad Layers front and back.

Weight is 2.218 grams as weighed on my .001 gram reloading scale. Average circulated dimes are weighing around 2.25 to 2.27 on the same scale, and are noticeably thicker.

Full disclosure, the most my scale read for this was 2.219 but it was not repeatable. 2.218 is where it normally settles, 2.217 showed once but not repeatable either. So. No matter what this coin weighs below 2.2 grams, which is diagnostic of missing clad layers.

No sign of alteration and it's patina is commensurate with 20 years of age. Asking $74.95 or best serious offer, if you don't like my price offer me one you do like if it's fair... One that you'd accept if you were me usually works, not always but usually.

I call it XF+ condition because the lines on the ear are sharp and the hair lines aren't worn or missing, the detail is really nice.

I've even had the closest thing to experts I know look at it. So 100% confidence in this piece. When they pointed out it's actually thinner and lighter. I was worried about it being copper plated but that would have made it heavier and it wasn't showing any of the signs you see in a coin that has been copper plated.

I will of course accept returns if you aren't satisfied;, I ONLY list things I have 100% certainty in.

This is not a "maybe" listing. I use a .001 scale not a .01 or a .1, a .1 scale likely won't tell the difference between this error dime and a non error dime because the weight difference is within the + - .1 gram on those scales.
