This is a Victorian Eastern European gadget style walking stick that doubles as an umbrella or parasol and it is likely circa 1880s to 1920s at the very latest

This is not one of the poorly and majorly over reproduced ones you commonly see. This stick is absolutely authentic.

The cool feature to me is that it’s got an ornate carved handle that looks like it may be made out of hoof or bone material that is carved and wrapped and what looks like silver or gold.

The sheet that protects the inner layer has some fading from sun damage at the top, and a few ripped threads. But the interior is absolutely stunning. The interior was protected by that sheath and it’s still bright vibrate red. The arms of the parasol have one missing tip, but it’s just the brass nub at the end, which is pictured.

The red colour has been so well preserved this obviously wasn’t used and was stored indoors for a long time, unfortunately, and it’s storing place was where the Sun was able to reach it
